MUSEUM OF DECORATIVE ARTS
HISTORICAL AND CONTEMPORARY CRAFTS, APPLIED ARTS & DESIGN

The Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague was founded in 1885, between 1897 and 1900 was built the museum building in neo-Renaissance style according to the design of the architect Josef Schulz. The permanent collection called Stories of Materials is divided according to the collections: The Votive Hall - history and museum founders, The Story of Fibre - the textiles and fashion gallery, Born in Fire - the gallery of glass and ceramics, Print and Image - graphic arts and photography gallery, Treasury - the gallery of precious and common metals and other materials.
